Redacted Affair
—a poem where secrets go to sip and die
A file sealed tight, a glance too long,
A touch that hummed a silent song.
No names were said, no truths declared—
Just lips that knew what wasn’t shared.
A flick of Aperol, like flame,
To set the dusk without a name.
Vodka smooth, like practiced lies,
That pass beneath unblinking eyes.
Lemon whispered—sharp, discreet,
A trace of citrus, cool and fleet.
Tonic fizzed, then disappeared,
Like alibis the court had cleared.
A cherry dropped into the glass,
A final truth they let you pass.
You drank it down and felt the blur—
Of what you did… and what you were.
