Recursive Daiquiri
—a poem where the loop never ends and neither does the thirst

You sip the glass, it starts again—
A line of code that can’t explain.
The lime cuts sharp, the sugar soothes,
But every answer simply moves.

White rum flows clean, a perfect base,
A blank-faced god with no embrace.
You shake, you strain, the glass is filled—
And yet the paradox is stilled.

You raise the drink. You know the tale.
The past unwinds in vapor’s veil.
Each sip recalls the one before,
A mirrored door behind a door.

The night resets, the record spins.
The moment folds, the loop begins.
You laugh, you drink, you try to see—
Who made the first daiquiri?
