🥃 Apology Mechanism

A cocktail for engineered remorse, clinical, calculated, and still somehow tender.

A tremble wrapped in perfect form,
A sorrow chilled, precise and warm.
The vodka spoke in muted tones,
Of static calls and dial tones.

No grand confession, just a nod,
A bittersweet and flavor-fraud.
Cranberry white, like bloodless guilt,
A bloom beneath a glass rebuilt.

A twist of lemon, sharp and neat,
A sign you once knew how to meet.
You sip. You pause. It doesn’t burn.
It just reminds you where to turn.

And in that cold, transparent veil,
You taste the code behind the fail.
It’s not forgiveness, not quite grace,
Just absence…
mapped to empty space.
