The Oracleās Hangover
where prophecy whimpers and juniper bites
She spoke in tongues the night before,
With riddled wine and truths that tore.
Now dawn arrives with pounding tread,
The gods are gone. The toast is dead.
Gin hums cold, with herbs entwined,
A garden steeped in scrambled mind.
Dry sherry follows, pale and thin.
A whisper from the world within.
A touch of honey, soft and sly,
For all the lies you justified.
And sage, that ghost upon your breath,
The taste of second-sight and death.
You sip. The visions donāt return.
Just headache, sunlight, lessons burned.
The futureās closed. The veil wonāt part.
Just silence⦠and a racing heart.
