-This poem reflects on a newborn foal taking its first uncertain steps into the spring world, embodying fragility, trust, and new life.

In the first light beside the mare,
it lifts on legs not yet believed,
a trembling shape of bone and breath,
new to the meadow, new to air.

The grass is wet, the morning mild,
the world still silvered at the edge,
and every small unsteady step,
seems held by more than strength alone.

It leans, it rises, nearly falls,
then finds again the ground beneath,
as if the earth had made a place,
for this first learning into life.

So much of birth is this, a reach,
a fragile trust, a will to stand,
and in that bright, uncertain grace,
the day itself seems newly born.
